Blood Relations

Robert Bauer Robert Bauer (Andrew Borden) is a founding member of The Drama Group where he has been involved with every production, in one way or another, since 1980, and where he most recently played Charles in Incorruptible and directed The Exonerated. He has also appeared at various other local theaters including Arden (Our Town), Wilma (Amadeus), Bushfire (Gem of the Ocean), Simpatico (Angels Fall) and Stagecrafters (Bus Stop). Last summer he played both the good Duke Senior and the nasty Duke Frederick in As You Like It in Clark Park.
Sandy Clay Bauer Sandy Clay Bauer (Abigail Borden) played the role of Agnes, the repressed daughter, in the very first Drama Group production, The Shadow Box, in 1980. Her most recent role was Helen, the brideÕs spinster aunt with a past, in The Drama GroupÕs production of Taken in Marriage. In between she has played a couple of mothers, a queen, a little girl, a lawyer and a writer, among other characters. She has also directed over a dozen Drama Group shows beginning with The Elephant Man in 1983 and, most recently, Art in 2003.
Nora Green Nora Green (Miss Lizzie/Bridget Sullivan) is Theatre Programs Producer for the National Constitution Center where she produces the award winning Freedom Rising and Living News. Her favorite acting roles include Cathleen in Riders to the Sea at Villanova and Scholar/Rosencraft in Q1 Hamlet at People Light. She is a co-founder of Azuka Theatre, a board member for both Theatre Exile and XFS Music, and co-producer and conceiver of the performance piece Owning Up to the Corn with Sara McCarron. She was Assistant Director for Theatre ExileÕs Barrymore nominated Mr. Marmelade.
Jim Kelsh, Jr. Jim Kelsh, Jr. (Uncle Harry) has been acting and directing at regional theatres for thirty years. His most recent roles locally have been: Lloyd in Reckless and Gary Peter Lefkowitz in I Hate Hamlet for Action Arts; and Dr. Fine in Six Degrees of Separation for Allens Lane. Jim has also recently appeared as Oberon in Shakespeare in Hollywood. He has appeared in over a dozen productions at Montgomery Theater in such roles as Harry in Born Yesterday, Uncle Ernie in Tommy, and Abe Goldman in Beau Jest and Jest a Second.
Howard Scott Howard Scott (Dr. Patrick/Defense) made his Drama Group debut in the first Drama Group show, The Shadow Box, in 1980. His most recent Drama Group appearance was in Spinning into Butter in 2004. He has also played leading or supporting roles in Equus, Room Service, The Lark, Pericles, Hunting Cockroaches, American Dreams, The Elephant Man, The Lion in Winter and The Crucible.
Cindy Spitko Cindy Spitko (The Actress/Lizzie Borden) is a recent graduate of Arcadia UniversityÕs BFA Acting Program. This past Fringe Festival she was seen in Vampire Lesbians of Sodom as Renee Vain/Tracy. She also started a theatre company with Josh Hitchens named The Magic Circle Theatre Company and they had their inaugural production of Macbeth, in which she played Lady Macbeth.
Janet Wasser Janet Wasser (Emma Borden) is returning to The Drama Group after being a part of the ensemble cast of The Laramie Project in 2002. She was most recently seen in Romeo and Juliet at New Hope Arts Center. Some of her other favorite roles include Hermia in A Midsummer NightÕs Dream, Honey in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Chick in Crimes of the Heart.
Josh Hitchens Josh Hitchens (Director) is the Co-Artistic Director of The Magic Circle Theater Company, for which he recently directed Macbeth. Other directing credits include Die Mommie Die, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Zoo Story, and Medal of Honor Rag. Next up he will direct Elizabeth and Twelfth Night for Magic Circle. Josh received a BFA in Acting from Arcadia University, and has performed with Plays & Players, Mauckingbird Theatre Company, To The Wall Productions, and Curio Theatre Company. He also wrote and directed Death of a Titanic Survivor for the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion in Germantown.
