MEET THE COMPANY

The Taming of the Shrew

Zac Anderson Zac Anderson (Lucentio) is making his Drama Group debut having recently arrived in the Philadelphia area from Pittsburgh, where he played a variety of roles with the Pitt Repertory Theatre. Since moving east, he has appeared with Langhorne Players in their recent production of Eurydice.
Robert Bauer Robert Bauer (Pedant and Producer) has been connected to The Drama Group as a director, an actor and a production designer since 1980. He directed our last show, The Story, and, in 2009, he played Lizzie Borden’s ill-fated father in Blood Relations, for which he designed the set and costumes. He has also acted with a number of other local theatre companies.
Clinton Cleaver Clinton Cleaver (Gremio) arrives at The Drama Group with nearly thirty years of community theatre experience. His favorite role to date was Elyot in Private Lives which gave him he chance to play a grand piano, sing Noel Coward songs and fox trot with his wife, who played opposite him in the role of Amanda.
Kyle Paul Dandridge Kyle Paul Dandridge (Tranio) has appeared on several local stages including Allens Lane Theater in Mt. Airy, The Stagecrafters in Chestnut Hill and most recently, as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with The Old Academy Players in East Falls. This is his first time on The Drama Group’s stage.
David DelBianco David DelBianco (Grumio) is returning to The Drama Group having played Jack in Incorruptible, Student 3 in Shakespeare’s R&J, and a whole bunch of roles in The Laramie Project. He has appeared with a number of local theatre companies and has also written and performed several solo pieces.
Kevin Fennell Kevin Fennell (Biondello) has appeared in many plays by William Shakespeare including Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and As You Like It. He comes to The Drama Group directly from productions of Shakespeare’s Cymbelene and Romeo and Juliet.
Tei Jackson Tei Jackson (Bianca) is making her Drama Group debut and also her theatrical debut with this show. She has had extensive training in various acting techniques, at Temple University, the Walnut Street Theatre and the Wilma Theatre.
Marc C. Johnson Marc C. Johnson (Petruchio) has appeared twice before with The Drama Group. Last spring, he played Neil Patterson, an ambitious and driven newspaper reporter in The Story and, in his Drama Group debut in 2008, he played John Nevins, a wide-eyed, aspiring actor in Trouble in Mind.
Angela Kowalski Angela Kowalski (Katharina) is making her first Philadelphia stage appearance with The Drama Group, having recently arrived in the area from Pittsburgh, where her last Shakespearean role was as one of the Weird Sisters in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. She also has an extensive musical theatre background.
Wayne Snover Wayne Snover (Vincentio and Director) has acted and directed many Drama Group shows. The last time he did both was for our 2004 production of Spinning into Butter. He has appeared on our stage in such shows as Art, How I Learned To Drive and Incorruptible. He has directed Trouble in Mind, Children of a Lesser God, The Goodbye People and many other Drama Group shows.
Robert Toczek Robert Toczek (Hortensio) is a familiar presence on many local stages throughout the area. He was most recently seen in the role of Bottom in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with The Old Academy Players in East Falls. This marks his first appearance with The Drama Group.
Janet Wasser Janet Wasser (Baptista) is making her third Drama Group appearance having played Lizzie Borden’s repressed older sister in Blood Relations and a great many roles, both young and old, in The Laramie Project. Her most recent Shakespearean role was that of the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet.
