DIRECTIONS
The Drama Group's performance space is in the education building of The First United Methodist Church of Germantown, 6001 Germantown Avenue, north of Chelten Avenue, Rittenhouse Street, Harvey Street and High Street, and south of Washington Lane, Tulpehocken Street and Walnut Lane.
BY AUTOMOBILE
From the PA Turnpike take exit 25A (New Exit 333 - Norristown Exit), or from I-476 (the Blue Route) take Exit 19 (Germantown Pike - East). Follow Germantown Pike - East, which becomes Germantown Avenue - East, for 7.6 miles to the church.
From Kelly Drive, City Line Avenue, or the Schuylkill Expressway (Exit 340A), follow Lincoln Drive past the second light (Wissahickon Avenue). About 500 feet past that light, turn right onto Harvey Street. Follow Harvey to where it comes to a dead end at Germantown Avenue. Turn left and you will see the Church on your right.
From Route 309, go south to the end of 309 and continue straight across Cheltenham Avenue on Ogontz Avenue. At the fifth traffic light turn right onto Washington Lane and continue on it to Germantown Avenue (14th traffic light) and turn left. The Church is at the third light, on your left.
From Abington, Jenkintown and Wyndmoor take Washington Lane to Germantown Avenue and turn left. The Church is at the third light, on your left.
PARKING
There is limited off-street parking in the lot to the north of the education building off of Germantown Avenue. On-street parking is also available.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (SEPTA)
SEPTA's Route 23 bus runs from South Philadelphia to Chestnut Hill and stops in front of the Church at High or Harvey Streets.
SEPTA's Route 65 bus from City Line Avenue and the Route HX bus from Broad and Erie in North Philadelphia cross Germantown Avenue at Walnut Lane, just north of the Church.
SEPTA's R8 Chestnut Hill West rail line originates in Fox Chase and goes through Center City Philadelphia. Get off at Tulpehocken Street, exit the station onto Walnut Lane and turn left. The third traffic light (four long blocks) is Germantown Avenue. Cross Germantown Avenue and turn right. The church is on the left.
